Square Coffee Table. Wood and glass design.

Discover a unique handcrafted coffee table made of wood and glass, designed and built in my workshop – Frogmakes Woodcraft Studio.

The tabletop combines burl poplar wood, known for its stunning 3D grain and rich natural texture, with a 6 mm tempered glass inlay cut to match the organic edge of the wood. Looking through the glass, you’ll see a natural "canyon" effect – a tribute to the raw beauty of nature.

The entire surface has been professionally protected against moisture and wear. Through a multistage sanding and wetting process, the wood was prepared to maintain a smooth and stable surface over time. It is finished with Rubio Monocoat hardwax oil, enhancing both protection and natural color.

The wood was dried to 6% humidity and processed in a climate-controlled studio to ensure stability and long-lasting quality. The legs are made from solid American walnut and feature adjustable chrome feet for precise leveling. They are finished with pure tung oil for a natural, elegant touch.

Each piece is one of a kind – the shape of the glass and the wood grain are never repeated. I save a custom glass template for every table, so in case of accidental breakage, you can order a replacement panel at any time.

This piece was designed and crafted entirely by hand, from the first sketch to the final polish. It reflects hours of focused work, the warmth of traditional craftsmanship, and my personal connection with the material.
